Financial Literacy Academy

The Financial Literacy Academy is a non-profit with dozens of retired financial planners teaching "How Money Works". The teachers donate their time to help families get on track with a financial education, strategy implementation, and annual adjustments as needed. It's a way we at FLA pay it forward.

Have you ever wondered what it takes to be Financially Independent?  The FLA will teach you "The Rules of Money" and introduce you to financial ideas, concepts, and products usually only reserved for the wealthy.

Start the process with the "How Money Works" Education Videos in order.  When you're done with the first 3 videos, then contact us for a complementary Financial Strategy of your own. The Financial strategy will let us know if what you're doing is on track with your financial and life goals.

As always the FLA education, the content, and the financial advice is at no cost to our students.  Just pay it forward.

Our Mission and Vision

The Financial Literacy Academy was started in 1993 with one mission and vision.  To educate and assist families in achieving financial independence.

We teach families "How Money Works" and guide them through the steps to Financial Independence.

Students Success Stories

I've been a laborer my whole life so  I never got an education on finances.  I'm glad I got help from the FLA. They not only made it easy to understand money, they helped me with setting up my retirement accounts.

I'm a widow and single Mother of 3 children.  Because of this school I can stop worrying  knowing that my children will be able to go to college and I will retire with at the age I want. Thank you so much FLA

Lisa Hernandez

I'm a software engineer and recent Immigrant to the U.S.  I had no clue how Investments worked in this country. I was told 401k was the best retirement plan. Now I know there are far better options for me and my family. I highly recommend them.
